Time for a head-count... post if you are:
- in for the Phillies game (so I can get tickets)
- coming in from out-of-town & need lodgings
- want to stay for additional Friday insanity
Obviously, I'm in & up for anything & everything. |

To cap off your Philadelphia experience, you are welcome to stay overnight at the Union League as my guests. It's the best room rate in town: $189 for a queen/sleeps two or $219 for a suite where you might be able to sleep two extra guys on the floor. An awesome hangover breakfast is included. As guests, you can also have dinner or drinks at the the bar or restaurant which will be billed to your room. There is also a cigar bar, pool table and a staff to cater to your every whim. The Union League is a real elitist "manly man" place - if you're in to the whole mahogany-panelled cushy-leather power-broker cigar-smoking hearty-laughing sports-on-TV people-watching thing, it will be a very fun night. I highly reccomend hitting the bar for a post-baseball game, post-shower, pre-dinner drink. The Union League is also an incredible building. If you're in to architecture and history, it's a must see Philly icon. For more information: http://www.unionleague.org/index.php.
One final note on the dress code: it's strictly enforced. you can wear shorts/jeans/flip flops to go in and out of the Inn (through a separate entrance), but these items are never allowed in the clubhouse. Thus, you may come and go as you please, but if you want to walk around the club, hang at the bar or eat breakfast, it's strictly business casual - collard shirt, slacks and shoes. |
